What's New

March 2008 - Tucson, Arizona

Thomas B. Scully, M.D., Neurosurgeon, travelled to Munich, Germany, to tour the manufacturing and research/development facilities of BrainLab, Inc. Northwest NeuroSpecialists' neurosurgeons are leaders in the use of sophisticated intraoperative computerized navigation technologies during brain and spine surgeries. The technology allows for exceptionally accurate placement of instrumentation into the spine and surgical planning for removal of brain tumors. Dr. Scully and his colleagues, Dr. Timothy Putty and Dr. Richard Chua, were one of the first users of this technology west of the Mississippi River, when it was introduced to Northwest Medical Center in 2004. For his achievements in bringing this technology to Northwest Tucson and the patients of Northwest NeuroSpecialists, Dr. Scully was named "BrainLab Physician of the Year" in 2005. Congratulations, Dr. Scully!
